Instacart is suing Uber’s Cornershop grocery service as both companies are taking advantage of the demand for food deliveries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The lawsuit alleges that Cornershop has stolen thousands of Instacart’s copyrighted and licensed images, as well as product descriptions and pricing data.
Uber states that Instacart’s lawsuit is actually a response to new competition in the US from a “Chilean upstart” company.
